Errors in geography

Alan Ladd hitches his way on a train to Fort Wayne, IN. When the train pulls into the station, there are several mountains visible on the horizon - clearly not in Indiana.

In one scene, Ladd's character boards a Southern Pacific caboose (not in Indiana) and in the next scene, he disembarks from a Chicago & North Western caboose at the Clybourn Junction station in Chicago.

Factual errors

When Ladd and Webb are fighting over a pistol, you can see the hammer is down on the slide. The next part the gun fires and Webb drops. The pistol cannot fire with the hammer down.

Miscellaneous

When Goddard shows the nun how to 'rack the slide' on the pistol, his finger is on the trigger. NO intelligent cop would do that.
