in this film miss italia, gina lollobrigida was 23 years old and most beautiful, in fact the american tv title of the film is my beautiful daughter released by wor tv new york in 1953. co-starring constance dowling who went to europe and achieved star recognition that had eluded her in the usa. both compete for the coveted title. sprinkled with underworld sub-plots, and romantic interludes with male star richard ney, the movie was most enjoyable. however the main attribute was the beauty of miss. lollobrigda. a pleasant little film from 1950 italy, one could almost hope it becomes available on vhs or dvd. respectfully, yours at the movies joe rinando.
