Great movie, poor casting
19 August 2000 | by (Ontario, Canada) – See all my reviews

A very charming and satisfying adaption of Louisa May Alcott's classic. My only complaint is the casting. The actors, aside from Beth (O'Brien), seem too old for their parts. How old is Peter Lawford in this movie anyway? Thirty? It seems a little ridiculous at times, especially when he is referred to as "that boy next door" and looks older than his tutor.
