At Gilmore Stadium in Los Angeles.

At Fort MacArthur in San Pedro, California.

Yes. Herbie (Lou Costello) jumps into a stack of tires. When Sgt. Collins (Nat Pendleton) tries to pull him out, Herbie pops up from another stack of tires. He chomps on a carrot and says, "Eh, what's up, doc?"

Yes. Herbie (Lou Costello) uses a blanket and clothespins to make himself a hammock, which he hangs on a clothesline over a fire escape. He falls asleep that night. The next morning a woman (Janna DeLoos) from the opposite building starts to pull in her clothes, not realizing that she's pulling Herbie toward her, too. Herbie doesn't wake up until he's hanging in mid-air.

Things get worse when the woman's husband (William Haade) thinks she is trying to sneak Herbie into the apartment for a tryst. He pulls on the clothesline from one side. Slicker (Bud Abbott), who has come out to investigate, pulls from the other side. Herbie barely makes it out of this predicament alive.
