Film debut of Nancy Guild, who had just signed a seven year contract with 20th Century-Fox. Apparently intended to be Fox's equivalent of sultry Warner Brothers starlet Lauren Bacall, Guild never really clicked with movie audiences and, after a number of projects at various studios, retired from the screen less than a decade later.
