Marvel says these guys are ‘All New, All Different’

16 September 2010 4:06 PM, PDT | Blogomatic3000 | See recent Blogomatic3000 news »

The folks at Marvel have sent us the third of this weeks December teasers – this one features a rather ominous set of superheroes lead by Wonder Man Thunderbird – although they appear to be… changed. Along with image came the tagline “All New, All Different”.

Twitter Report: 'Green Hornet' Trailer Reactions, 'The Phantom' TV Series, And iOS4

22 June 2010 10:44 AM, PDT | MTV Splash Page | See recent MTV Splash Page news »

Now that the Michel Gondry's "Green Hornet" trailer is out in the open, the comics world is reacting, and I've included a quick sampling with opinions from Cully Hamner, Jeff Parker and the ever-quotable Brian Denham in the Report today.

While they were checking out Seth Rogen and Jay Chou, however, a few other faces in the crowd were watching SyFy's new "Phantom" re-imagining and "The Pixar Story" on CNBC. Click on past the jump to find out what everyone thought and see Fred Van Lente's Hercules casting recommendation, as well as what Bendis got away with this morning during the Avengers retreat.

I'm @brianwarmoth, and I believe I beat the Library of Congress to archiving these statements in the Twitter Report for June 22, 2010.

"Green Hornet" trailer pt. 1: @cully_hamner Hey, I'm Seth Rogen & I like to party, but my father died & left me a car & a manservant & Omglet'SDECIDE2BETHEGREENHORNET! »

No Joke: Nicolas Winding Refn Wants to Make a Wonder Woman Movie

15 June 2010 1:43 PM, PDT | Beyond Hollywood | See recent Beyond Hollywood news »

Let’s face it, when you hear someone like Danish filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn’s name linked to a comic book property like “Wonder Man”, you’re probably scoffing. What, the guy who directed the “Pusher” trilogy, the bloody “Bronson”, and “Valhalla Rising” is going to direct a comic book movie about a chick that deflects bullets with her bracelets while wearing a tiara? As it turns out, hell yeah, Nicolas Winding Refn really wants to direct a “Wonder Woman” movie. Who would have thunk it? Refn tells Movieline as much: “Wonder Woman, I really want to make. That, I’m hoping, will be my $200 million extravaganza — if I even get close to it. That’s why I say, “Well, let me go make Drive [a thriller shooting soon with Ryan Gosling]. Let me start the ball rolling within the system.” He goes on to talk about what he would like to do with the character, his »

Marvel's Avengers 2: a fantasy cast list

18 May 2010 10:27 AM, PDT | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

Will there be an Avengers sequel, and if so, could Eliza Dushku take on the role of Wasp? Would Jake Gyllenhaal relish the part of The Hood? Rob rolls out his fantasy list of heroes and villains.

After seeing Iron Man 2, the teaser for the next Marvel picture and the subsequent growth of the continued Marvel shared-universe, it seems the ploy is to eventually have Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr) be the three heavy hitters in the ‘Ultimate' Marvel team up movie, The Avengers

With the Hulk, War Machine, Black Widow, and even Ant-Man, making up the secondary characters that are being touted for the forthcoming feature, and a notion that it will follow Mark Millar's Ultimates plot (Avengers Vs Hulk and/or Loki), then it seems the first film will be a must-see for all comic fans and will »
