Anghus Houvouras would like to see Marvel making a Vision and Scarlet Witch movie…
Earlier this week I talked at length about why The Inhumans was possibly pulled from the Marvel Movie slate. While I have nothing against The Inhumans, it was the Marvel movie I was the least interested in seeing brought to life. Its exclusion from the next phase doesn’t exactly feel like a tragedy. The conversations quickly turned into a discussion about what Marvel movies we want to see and I had an epiphany about which Marvel characters I’d be interested in seeing in their own movie.
Of course the first answer is Fin Fang Foom followed closely by Devil Dinosaur and Demolition Man – The Homeless Hobo Hero. However, since I traditionally work in realistic scenarios I decided to offer up a potential movie that Marvel has already laid the ground work for and that »

It was just a matter of time until Nathan Fillion popped up in a "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie. He and director James Gunn are friends who have collaborated numerous times. And while he had a voice cameo in the first film, he's set to make a bigger appearance in the sequel. Thanks to an eagle-eyed fan in Atlanta, speculation is pointing to Fillion playing Wonder Man.
Photos from the set show movie posters from a Simon Williams Film Festival. Simon Williams is also Wonder Man, a former superhero who gives up the game to become a Hollywood star. The posters feature Fillion in fictional movies like "Haxan 2," Oh, Rebecca!" and a Tony Stark biopic. A Tony Stark biopic indicates these scenes take place on present-day Earth (or slightly in the future), and not as a flashback to Peter Quill's (Chris Pratt) childhood. A local video shows that filming from »

If there was one word most viewers would likely use to describe 2014's Guardians Of The Galaxy, it'd probably be "fun." From the quirky characters to the film's action and general visual splendor, it's safe to say that it exceeded most expectations. The movie even had a lot of fun with one of its cameos. Most film nerds now know that the giant blue alien that picked a fight with our hero in the prison sequence was actually Nathan Fillion in deep disguise. It was a, dare I say, fun little Easter egg that scifi fans adored.
Well, it looks like Fillion's going two-for-two when it comes to Guardians cameos, Comicbook.com revealed in a new series of photos snapped from the set of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2. What's more, the Castle and Firefly actor looks to be playing a role that has ties to deep within the comic book lore. »

Two months ago, set reports from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 appeared to suggest that action veteran Sylvester Stallone was filming a secret and seemingly uncredited cameo – likely as a faceless Nova Corps foot soldier – in James Gunn’s galactic sequel. But ComicBook.com has news of a much more prominent piece of fan service involving one Nathan Fillion.
The tidbit arrives in tandem with new set photos featuring Yondu and a handful of his alien goons (via Atlanta Filming), but the reveal of Fillion’s cameo ventures far into spoiler territory – one you’ll find after the jump.

Still with us? According to the outlet, Fillion will make a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearance as Simon Williams, a.k.a. Wonder Man. But don’t get carried away just yet; ComicBook.com notes that the inclusion of Fillion – a fan-favorite following roles across Firefly and »

Is Wonder Man finally going to make an appearance in a Marvel movie? It sure looks that way, as new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 set photos reveal Nathan Fillion is playing this iconic comic book character, otherwise known as Simon Williams. This is actually the second character Nathan Fillion has played in this particular sci-fi franchise.
In the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie released in 2014, Fillion voiced a big blue alien creature in the prison scene, which finds Groot and Rocket Raccoon teaching him a lesson. In the sequel, he gets to take on a much more substantial role. He is Simon Williams, a former Masters of Evil member and brother of the Grim Reaper. In the comics, Williams becomes reformed and eventually joins The Avengers.
So, what's with all the movie posters featuring Simon Williams in the leaked set photos courtesy of ComicBook.com? At one point, »
It would seem James Gunn has drafted his old pal Nathan Fillion (Serenity, Slither) in for an appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, playing none other than Simon Williams, aka Wonder Man. In the comics Williams started out as a villain before putting his wicked ways behind him and joining The Avengers. He later retired to pursue and acting career, which is referenced by these mock movie posters that were sent to Comicbook.com. Whether Fillion actually shows up onscreen as Williams in the movie or not remains to be seen of course, as there's every chance these posters will just be used as background easter eggs. Still, pretty cool I'm sure you'll agree. Set to the all-new sonic backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill’s true parentage. After making an uncredited guest appearance on the first film, "Firefly" and "Castle" star Nathan Fillion is re-teaming with his "Slither" director James Gunn for a bigger part in the latter's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" for Marvel Studios.
Photos from the set of the 'Guardians' sequel have revealed the part which the actor will play in the film and it's quietly brilliant. Seems there's a scene involving an Earth-based art house cinema which is running a film marathon of movies involving an actor named Simon Williams (Fillion).
This allows Fillion to pose for a series of one-sheets for movies that exist within the McU, including a Tony Stark biopic in which Fillion's Simon Williams is playing Stark.
