Frontier Days (1945)
Indian Affairs agent Jim Blake captures a band of thieves and rustlers preying on the buffalo herds of the Kansas plains, and the Indians, and has them sent to jail, with the gang-leader, Clay Stacy, vowing vengeance. Later,Blake resigns his government position with the intent of becoming a rancher. But he is asked to become a U. S. Marshal and clean up a town that is now being terrorized by the same gang he had sent to prison. Jim Blake, a former Commissioner of Indian Affairs and now a rancher, is asked to become Marshal in Civilization, Kansas. Clay Stacy, who Blake had arrested 5 years before for killing Buffalo on Indian land, is now out of jail and causing havoc. Martha Mercer, whose father was Marshal before Blake and killed by Stacy and his gang, doesn't have much faith in Blake and refuses to hand over her father's gun and shield until his death is avenged.- Written by garykmcd
