User Reviews

Perennial chestnut farce.

This is the same plot as GETTING GERTIE'S GARTER and is both a staple stage farce plus a popular film in two versions. Dennis O'Keefe plays the young man who is engaged but who, in a moment of infatuation, once had a particularly private item of clothing from his fiancee engraved with identifying information and now the recipient of this item will be spending the weekend with him at his fiancee's home. It's fast and furious and fun but just fluff. All do well. The score was nominated for an Oscar but the Sound should have been the recipient of this honor - clear and clean and crisp. Lots of fun.
