I would like to know who played the part of Sargent Ryan?, 15 September 2002
Author: CHARLES A. OSWALD (CASEYJONES43000@AOL.COM) from ST. JAMES, N.Y. -U.S.A.

Being a big fan of THE EAST SIDE KIDS series, I felt that this was the best of all of them. The story line was excellent and it appeared to me that the budget for Bowery Champs was considerably higher than any in the E.S.K. series. I felt that there was a very fine personal touch in Bowery Champs when Bobby Jordan (who played himself)was looking all over town for Muggs and the gang. Pvt.Bobby Jordan was on leave to make his last appearance in the E.S.K. series. He fought with the 97th.Infantry Division in Germany in W.W.II and was discharged in 1945.Bowery Champs would also showcase Edward J.Kay's musical expertise in the dramatic music used in the fight scene. This piece of cue music was entitled "BUY THOSE BONDS" which was correctly suited since were still fighting W.W.II. This musical piece was later on used at a faster tempo in Trouble Makers(1948) of THE BOWERY BOYS series. Now getting back to Bowery Champs: I would highly recommend watching this movie.
