At the flower show, the Dowager Countess, who traditionally wins the top prize, sees her name written down for the Grantham Cup, but announces the prize winner as Mr. William Molesley. Lady Beldon announced Mr. Ballard, the gardener who grew the 'Mrs. Miniver Rose' as the first prize winner at the Gardening Competition in the film.
