more of a comedy than a musical

This is a very funny classic German picture of the Nazi period but no propaganda and modern swing music too no old German folk music. It's also the first classic film of Germany and America , in the past, that a curse word is uttered that IMDb ,of today, would censor it if i spell it out fully. It's still taboo. The scene where the butler sees Dr. George Noring, played by anti Nazi actor Hans Brauswettwer, taking Monika in his apartment , after she was kicked out for not paying the room rent His butler thinks he's about to make romance with her. He goes to the back room and chooses mood music records . When he finds the right one he accidentally drops it and react's by saying "shi-. He says that still today controversial. And Hitler and Goebbels didn't mind that. The plot is about a chorus girl ,Monica , who looses her job because she's late and she owes the land lady room rent. She get's kicked out too. but Egyptologist Dr. George Norring rescues Monica and later pays the rent for her. Within the short time, of the film, they are engaged. She has also been rehired by her theater director, played by Aribert Wascher, thank's to the doctor. Well, they set an engagement party. She invite's her friend Helene, played by Mady Rahl and Papa Shmidtke, played by Paul Henckles, But George's friend Andreas, played by Victor Staal, thinks shes a gold digger. He tries to convince George of this. Insist that George goes with him on a Heimat ski vacation. He resist but by this time the butler has canceled the party then informs Monica that he's not coming and is taking a ski trip to Heiment land on a train. Dr. Norring forget's to tell Monica. The secretary ,Played by Ursela Hursckins, tells the theater director that it would be good publicity to make her the star , being engaged to an Egyptologist. Well Monika goes to the train to give a piece of her mind only to discover that only his friend Andreas is on the train only she get's stuck having to wait till the next stop only to discover the next train is the next day. Andreas insist that she goes with him to change her mind about George already Helene , who goes to Georges apartment, to confront his false promise, both seem to fall for each other. Already romance between Andreas and Monica is flourishing ,at the ski lodge. He goes to the ski lodge to try to tell her that he's in love with Helene and call of the engagement but does'net have the courage. Monika wants to call of the engagement too but she afraid of hurting feelings too. Aribert and Urselsa go to the ski lodge to make sure that Monika and George make the engagement public. Helene goes to the ski lodge to stop this. this is when the fun begins. There is echo's of background music at the hotel from Marika Rokks other musicals. a piano ,at the hotel, playing the music from the song she sang in, "Dances for the king. And ,in one scene Victor whistles the song she sang from," Women are better diplomats", which becomes back ground music. Boy that sale's pitch for her films, back then. This picture Hans Brauswetter has more of a role than his other's pretty good and Aribert Wasccer is younger, but still fat, than the other picture ,he did,"Women are much better diplomat.
