One reviewer labeled Hans Moser as the W.c fields of Austria,But,w.c Fields always played bad characters.Moser played only good characters. His humor was based on the heart of humanity, but at this time unfortunately it was pretentious . Hans plays a Porter ,at the Europa Hotel, possibly in Berlin.Although some of the cast are Austrian actors ,it was made in Nazi Germany. His character seems to be very helpful to his customers.Starving actress Marie, played by Irene Von Meyendorf comes to the hotel to catch Stage director Clusius, played by Hans Zesch Ballot, to get an audition for the role of Juliet,in Romeo and Juliet. In her bad position,Hans decide to let her stay in his small apartment in the hole to try to convince Clu that she's good for the role. Then there's professor Freiburg, played by Ivan Petrovich. He receives a letter from Hans, from Fries's Girl friend or fiancé,Spanish entertainer Elvira De Basto, played by Margit Symbo, and manager played by Rudolph Vogel, whom Frie is painting a miniature portrait of her, but,Moser novices that Fries interest in Elivar is not enthusiastic. So Mosar tries to introduce another hotel cumbersome,Eva,played by Lisa Siebel,to Frie.Another hotel customer Ludwig, married man played by Victor Afritsch, has invited his girl friend Putzeli, played by Maria Eiselt,to see him, but, his wife Elly, played by Ruth Eweler decides to show up .Ludwig decides to give another chance to his marriage while standing up Putz.Fritz Odemar is an wanted international hotel thief,Hotteldieb Pawlowitsch, who masquerades as a detective gaining Hans confidence, as Odemar accuses both victor and Ruth as binge the thief, locking them up in the back of the hotel ,while Fritz steal the jewelry, behind Moser's back. Moser is being suspected so he has been fired, but decides to buy a hotel room for the night to find out who the real thief. With the aid of the non Nazi police, fantasy land,Fritz is caught and is sent to a normal jail ,as oppose to a labor camp. The other characters is Lotte Lang ,Hans girl friend who sells magazine in the hotel. The rest of the cast is Anton pointer as the hotel Manager.William Holsboer as one of the hotel workers.Joseph Offenbach as the other Portier. A warm comedy typical of Hans Moser films.Non Nazi fun.07/27/13
