Beyond the Line of Duty (1942)
Narrator, Ronald Reagan: That uniform works miracles for a new cadet's confidence. Oh, but just in case we forgot to mention it, it takes plenty of work to be worthy of those uniforms.
Major General Harmon: Is that one of your students, Major?
Major: Yes, that's Wheless - making another one of his kangaroo landings.
Major General Harmon: Looks like he's breakin' a horse.
Narrator, Ronald Reagan: Excuse us, Tokyo, while we go into a little practice action. Gunnery practice on the tow target. Just get a bead on these boys. It's shooting like this that will knock them on their axis!
Hewitt T. Wheless: The men in my crew, and the men in every crew, are grateful to you and to all the workers of America, for turning out the finest aircraft in the world. With these planes, we can out fight them. All we ask is that you continue to out build them. Get behind our great President and keep 'em rolling. We'll keep 'em flying and when we start heading over Berlin and Tokyo, it's really gonna be a picnic.
Hewitt T. Wheless: You oughta see those fellas now. They are really kickin' the Japs around.
Officer: So long, Captain. Say, where ya bound for?
Hewitt T. Wheless: [winks] Shangri-la.
