Furious 7 is finally in theaters this weekend! To celebrate, star Dwayne Johnson stopped by Saturday Night Live to host. One of the most popular skits of the night found the WWE Superstar and action icon taking on what might be the role of his life! Yes, he stepped into the legendary revenge-filled hooves of Bambi!
Spoofing Walt Disney's recent trend of turning all their classic animated movies into live-action fairy tale adventures, Saturday Night Live imagines what a real life Bambi might look like. It's not all sweet innocence and reindeer games though! These forest animals mean business. And one of them is gunning for vengeance!
That's right, SNL and The Rock put a Furious 7 spin on this family favorite movie, turning Bambi into an action-packed blast of explosions that you have to see to believe. Starring in this live-action take on Bambi are Dwayne Johnson as the title character, »
There are some things that just should not be spoiled and the spoof trailer "Saturday Night Live" created for "Walt Disney's Bambi" is one of them. Mocking the recent news that the Mouse House is moving forward with a live-action "Dumbo" (don't get me started on that one), Dwayne Johnson plays a, well, "Rock" version of the classic animated character. This Bambi, however, is out for revenge. Tragically, they took away his mother. And, unlike the original, they are going to pay...deerly. It's all in the style of "Fast 7," might include some of his more famous co-stars (and if this is our mandatory synergistic Comcast tie-in for Friday's blockbuster we'll take it) and is already blowing up on social media. Enjoy a live action "Bambi" we can only dare to dream for in the embedded video below. »

We never get tired of the story of Cinderella, and whether we know it or not, the version we never get tired of is the one put forth by Walt Disney 65 years ago. The 1950 animated feature, released 65 years ago this week (on February 15, 1950) was an instant classic, and its this version we think of when we imagine all the visual details of the story -- the slipper, the pumpkin, the fairy godmother, the mice, and Cinderella and Prince Charming dancing all over the palace grounds.
Still, as many times as we've heard the story or seen the cartoon, there's still more to be mined from the 17th-century fairy tale. (Indeed, Disney is releasing a new live-action retelling next month.) As many times as you've seen the 1950 classic, there's plenty you may not know about it -- how the actress who played Cinderella landed the part without even knowing she'd auditioned, »

Although Ryan Gosling's verified Twitter account has been around since 2011, he's been mostly silent - until these past few weeks. Now that his directorial debut, Lost River, is receiving buzz over the recently released trailer, Ryan is creating a buzz of his own with some pretty hilarious tweets. After just two tweets, he started wondering about unofficial Twitter rules, asking, "Ok, am I tweeting too much now? What's the twitter etiquette?!" Then Ryan realized that he wasn't including handles in his tweets, and he made the perfect joke, calling himself the "Twitter version of Bambi on ice right now," adding, "I'll get it. Don't give up hope!" This week, he went on a retweeting spree, and after retweeting some fan art and commentary about his new film, he joked, "Obviously I just figured out how to retweet. I'll get on top of this." (Cue fans everywhere dreaming of a Ryan Gosling retweet! »
