Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • Depictions of WWI. Much shooting; men fall onto the ground. No blood is seen except for one scene where a man is shot in the face and a small trail of blood oozes from his mouth. A couple scenes of men fighting in a bar, punching each other in the face, and pushing each other into tables.

Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The scenes on the European battlefield can be pretty intense, with bullets and hand-to-hand combat taking place, and characters dying. Despite this, very little blood is seen. If your kids have seen a modern PG-13 movie, they have seen far worse violence than they will see in Sergeant York.
