Storyline

Northern lawyer John Reynolds travels to New Orleans to try and clean up the local crime syndicate based around a lottery. Although he meets Julie Mirbeau and they are attracted to each other, the fact that her father heads the lottery means they end up on opposite sides. When her father is killed, Julie becomes more and more involved in the shady activities and in blocking Reynolds' attempts at prosecution. Written by Jeremy Perkins <jwp@aber.ac.uk>

The 18 Year Old Dorothy Dandridge
8 April 2002 | by (London, England) – See all my reviews

The 18 year old Dorothy Dandridge got to act alongside John Wayne in this film 'Lady From Louisiana', which, although quite dull watching, was a great opportunity for Dandridge. Once again, she was very lucky to break into Hollywood films during her teens.
