Good ideas muffed by an unbelievable plot!

Warning: Spoilers
A potentially interesting story is negated here by an oddball script which gives the villain powers of bi-location and presents the late- entering hero as a clumsy clown. These are novel ideas certainly, but they just don't work. The girls do better, even though the writer seems unsure as to which of the two girls (played by Gale Storm and Cecilia Parker) he should focus upon. A viewer certainly gets the impression that the script was made up while the movie was actually being shot. Of course, this is impossible, but nonetheless many viewers will come away with that impression. Another problem is that despite his unheralded powers of bi-location, the identity of the chief villain is obvious. Nonetheless, we are constantly induced to look forward to his unmasking -- but even that falls flat. In all, the movie is a genuine curiosity. It would certainly serve as a good example of how NOT to write a movie scenario! Available on a quite good Alpha DVD.
