Storyline

A girl, Carol whom the audience is quickly informed "has been around," and her father arrive to take over the business management of an island in the Bahamas owned by Adrian Ainsworth, descendant of many ancestors who have handled it over the years to the satisfaction of its 250 native residents. He is married to a woman who stays away from the island because she is lonely when there. Adrian doesn't want Carol or her father there, and they don't want to be there. Romance can't be lurking far behind the beautiful sunset. Written by Les Adams <longhorn1939@suddenlink.net>

Bahama Passage is A Real Treat For Movie Fans

Bahama Passage is a real treat for movie fans of movies made in the 1940s.I watched this movie for the first time yesterday, and I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed it.From what I could tell, the movie was actually filmed in the Bahamas. The photography was just stunning for a movie that was made so long ago.The entire movie had a beautiful soft glow that made me feel warm all over.If you have ever seen the movie The Blue Lagoon with Brooke Shields then you will know what I am talking about. This movie has a magnificent cast. Madeleine Carroll was wonderful to watch. She looked so different then in her part in the movie Virginia.Sterling Hayden looked so young. He looked like he truly lived on a tropical island with his blonde hair and his tan.I would not have recognized Sterling Hayden if I didn't know that he was in the movie.Leo G. Carroll and Flora Robson were each terrific in their roles.Remember Leo G. Carroll in the Man From Uncle television series?Cecil Kellaway is good no matter what he plays in.If you look hard enough, a young Dorothy Dandridge shows up in the movie for a few short moments.I highly recommend this movie to everyone.I have this movie on VHS tape.
