‘Teen Mom’ Amber Caught Drinking Underage! Was She Also Taking Klonopin?

20 November 2010 9:12 AM, PST | HollywoodLife | See recent HollywoodLife news »

If Amber is mixing alcohol and Klonopin the results could be fatal according to an expert!

Is Teen Mom star Amber Portwood, 20, heading down a dangerous road? We already knew she was prescribed the anti-anxiety medication Klonopin, but a new report from Life & Style is now alleging that Amber has been mixing her pills with alcohol! According to the mag, which published photos of Amber with a bottle reportedly full of vodka, Amber told partygoers that she was also taking prescription pills. The Anderson, Indiana, Police Dept. tells us that underage drinking is considered a misdemeanor, and because Amber wasn’t caught in the act of drinking, she probably won’t be prosecuted.

Dr. Andrea Barthwell of Two Dreams Outerbanks tells us Klonopin alcohol can be a fatal combination. ”If Klonopin is prescribed for anxiety and other issues, alcohol is only going to make that worse,” Dr. Barthwell says. “Young people »

Grey's Anatomy Review: "Slow Night, So Long"

19 November 2010 3:14 AM, PST | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

It was extremely entertaining watching Cristina switch careers and enter into the bartending world on last night’s episode “Slow Night, So Long.”

So far this season, Cristina has yet to let me down in terms of bringing it each week. I really wish she would get over her issues and return to being the doctor we all know and love, but until then, this week did bring in some light humor and laughs.

Joe's face says it all.

The group goes to Joe’s to celebrate Derek’s grant and they find Cristina behind the bar wearing more make-up than I’ve ever seen her wear. Everyone is shocked, but Derek is the most concerned, feeling responsible for his demise and unable to enjoy his own victory.

But, just because Derek isn’t having a grand ol' time, doesn’t mean any of the rest of them aren’t boozing it up. »

'One Tree Hill's' Sophia Bush wants you to Do Something for green energy

18 November 2010 9:11 AM, PST | Pop2it | See recent Pop2it news »

"One Tree Hill" star Sophia Bush has always been wary of putting her life online.

"I've never been a person that's wanted to open up any facet of my personal life to any kind of social media," she told Zap2it when we spoke to her in June. Her tune changed when she decided to use Twitter to spread awareness about the devastating situation in the Gulf of Mexico. "All of my skepticism has been destroyed. The sheer outpouring of support, and not to sound cliche, but the outpouring of love that we've received -- I have cried."

Now Bush is moving beyond Twitter to embrace Facebook for DoSomething.org and Energy Star. Bush is the face of a new PSA that encourages kids to "take a break from building their farm towns and fighting crime lords and instead play a game that involves taking online and offline actions to »

Bush Urges Teens To Go Green

18 November 2010 4:11 AM, PST | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Sophia Bush has joined the fight for the environment by filming a new public service announcement (PSA) to encourage teens to go green.

The One Tree Hill star has teamed up with officials at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and campaign website DoSomething.org to promote a new online game which shows youngsters how to help in the battle against climate change.

The internet application, called eMission, is available on Facebook.com and allows users to enter a digital world where they can build and maintain habitats for wildlife and complete missions to reduce greenhouse gases through tasks such as planting trees.

Bush says, "Teens are already on Facebook playing games, so why not play one that's going to change your life for the better? Young people need to hear that they're powerful and can be leaders in change. This is the idea behind eMission." »

[DVD Review] Last Day of Summer

9 November 2010 7:00 AM, PST | JustPressPlay.net | See recent JustPressPlay news »

Dramedy, the mixture of drama and comedy, takes serious subject matter and has yielded some fantastic movies. Bonnie and Clyde took robbery and murder and made it exciting while still keeping its inevitably tragic ending. Little Miss Sunshine made audiences laugh at family dysfunction while still maintaining the seriousness of their troubled relationships. Secretary subverted the romantic comedy with masochism and self-mutilation. Last Day of Summer tried to create a dramedy out of disturbed youth and mass killings. For me, the film was not only a complete failure; their disrespectful treatment of the subject matter left a bad taste in my mouth.

Last Day of Summer follows Joe (DJ Qualls), a part-time janitor at a local fast food joint. After being harassed and humiliated by his boss Mr. Crolick (William Sadler) and ignored by everyone else, Joe has decided to kill Mr. Crolick and everyone else he can before he »

Harrison Ford has to watch it when he buys beer

8 November 2010 7:41 PM, PST | Hollywoodnews.com | See recent Hollywoodnews.com news »

HollywoodNews.com: Harrison Ford, 68, should take it as a compliment.

The “Star Wars” actor was carded the other day when he went to buy beer.

UK’s The Sun read his interview with a recent glossy where Ford exclaimed, “I went to buy some beer the other day and got carded!

“I said, ‘I’m 68-years-old’, and he said, ‘Young people complain about being singled out, so we ask everyone to show proof’.

“I said, ‘Take a look at me. Are you kidding?’

“But he still wanted to see it.”

Ford returns to the big screen this weekend in the Paramount romantic comedy “Morning Glory” opposite Rachel McAdams and Diane Keaton.

Celebrity Twitterwatch: Halloween Horror Edition

28 October 2010 1:49 PM, PDT | The Backlot | See recent The Backlot news »

You may be missing the point of a mask.

Here at Twitterwatch we spook easily. We like to spend our Halloween behind the computer where it's safe, not out with things that go bump in the night. Fortunately, other people like scary stuff, and we can experience a virtual Halloween without trying to pretend we can pull off the Sexy Fireman costume.

I thought it might be funny if Scott Evans went as the Human Torch or Captain America for Halloween, as some sort of ironic commentary on the fact that his brother tends to play dress up even when it's not Halloween. But that might be creepy in hindsight, and homemade costumes are always in fashion. That's a nice use of glitter, but it doesn't leave much mystery.

My version of a masquerade. hide your identity or completely show it. :-) http://twitpic.com/31hrfxless than a minute ago »

Change Generation: Chad Bullock, Executive Director, helloCHANGE.org

28 October 2010 9:23 AM, PDT | Fast Company | See recent Fast Company news »

Chad Bullock grew up in big tobacco's backyard: Durham, North Carolina. He saw the terrible results of cigarette addiction on friends and family members, including his great-grandfather who died of lung cancer. After that, he decided to dedicate his life to anti-tobacco activism. He's since trained tens of thousands of young people to be anti-tobacco activists, led the successful charge to turn the Durham Bulls stadium into a smoke-free baseball park, and in 2008 founded HelloChange which is the largest youth-led anti-tobacco organization in the country. Bullock chatted with Fast Company about his passion for this issue, and how he does his work.

David Burstein: What was your big idea?

Chad Bullock: To start a national anti-tobacco activism campaign powered by youth from across the country.

What was the inspiration behind your idea?

Learning how tobacco killed my grandfather and kills 438,000 others Americans a year is one source of inspiration. Another »

'American Idol': Yoko Ono wishes people would just give her a chance

21 October 2010 12:34 PM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

Yoko Ono, avant-garde when The Beatles were mainstream, remains current with music as a fan of Green Day and "American Idol."

"I was surprised that it was a very stimulating program," she tells Zap2it.

"Young people are doing some very courageous things," she says.  "When you think about it, there are so many courageous musicians. When John (husband John Lennon) started, most people were saying, 'You are not doing enough,' even when John did it.

"Governments of all different countries are trying to censor things and a lot of musicians do their best to change the world for the better."

Promoting an upcoming PBS documentary, "American Masters: Lennonyc," Ono is well aware that many still see her as the force that broke up The Beatles. This film, focusing on Lennon and her happier years in Manhattan, could finally help people to understand their deep love.

Dog Sweat (Aragh Sagee) | Review - Austin Film Festival 2010

19 October 2010 9:24 AM, PDT | SmellsLikeScreenSpirit | See recent SmellsLikeScreenSpirit news »

Director: Hossein Keshavarz Writer: Hossein Keshavarz, Maryam Azadi Starring: Ahmad Akbarzadeh, Tahereh Esfahani, Bagher Forohar, Shahrokh Taslimi, Rahim Zamani Utilizing a guerrilla-cum-cinema vérité aesthetic -- probably out of necessity and for style -- producer-director-editor Hossein Keshavarz documents the lives of several young people who are attempting to discover personal freedom within the confines of contemporary Iran. Misunderstood by their parents and family elders and feeling oppressed by conservative Islamic society, these young Iranians find ways to rebel against oppression while, at least for the most part, staying under the radar and making enough compromises to safely survive. Massoud (Shahrokh Taslimi) begins the film as a womanizer with a penchant for whiskey. He is of a generation who, having been silenced by their government, has retreated to the comfort of drinking (“Dog Sweat” is a slang term for a popular black market liquor in Iran) and drug use. Director Mark Romanek Talks ‘Never Let Me Go’

8 October 2010 8:31 PM, PDT | newsinfilm.com | See recent newsinfilm news »

At Fantastic Fest 2010, I sat down with a few other journalists and Mark Romanek, the director of my favorite film of the festival, Never Let Me Go, starring Carey Mulligan, Andrew Garfield, and Keira Knightley and adapted from Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel of the same name.  Here is what Romanek had to say about his film.  Warning: the interview contains spoilers.

Question: I think what resonated with me was the docility of the clones and how they never really like fought the man, tried to run away, or tried to fight the system.  So I just wanted to get your thoughts on that.

Romanek: Did you think they should of? What was your feeling about it?

Of course we all sympathize with them, so yeah I wanted to see them run away, escape, do something to break the cycle.

Romanek: Why do you think they didn’t?

Bonnie Says: Billy Ray & Tish Cyrus You Need To Tame 17-Year-Old Miley!

PacificCoastNews.com, Getty Images

Listen up mama and papa Cyrus — your daughter Miley may be a big star but she’s still Your little girl and that means you need to be her parents.

And being her parents means you need to give her a curfew and stop her from going to bars and partying till all hours of the morning.

Do the words — Lindsay Lohan — mean anything to you? Do you want your daughter to end up in jail and rehab with her career in the ruins?

Relatives of yours, who prefer to remain name-less, are already worried that Miley will become a trainwreak. “No one tells Miley no,” the source told HollywoodLife.com. “We’re concerned for her. She’s 17-years-old, but is the one who makes the money ($25 million in 2009) and she calls all the shots in the family,” the relative explained.

Noel Clarke 4.3.2.1 Interview

4 October 2010 8:55 AM, PDT | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

Before HeyUGuys sets you free to read our rollercoaster interview with Noel Clarke we need to set the conversation below in a little context. On 21st of May one of our team, reviewed 4.3.2.1 for its cinema release. It would be fair to say the film wasn’t his cup of tea. Incensed at some of the content of that review Noel made his displeasure extremely clear, blocked HeyUGuys from his Twitter account and crossed us off his Christmas card list. You can read the review here and Noel’s objections below.

When I was approached to conduct a telephone interview with Noel for the DVD/Blu-ray release of 4.3.2.1 I did so on the understanding that it would be a frank discussion about all that had passed. The interview was dramatic and impassioned and therefore contains occasional uses of adult language. The conversation has been transcribed from a recording of that »

Michael Caine Offers His Explanation of Inception's Ending

Ask anyone who saw Christopher Nolan's Inception and you'll likely get several different opinions on the ending. Sir Michael Caine, who appeared in the movie, has his own theory about what the ending meant, which he shared with BBC Radio (Warning: Spoilers ahead).

[The spinning top] drops at the end, that's when I come back on. Young people say to me, "At the end, when you're there, is it a dream or is it real." If I'm there it's real, because I'm never in the dream. I'm the guy who invented the dream.
