Storyline

The stooges get jobs as census takers and wind up in a fancy mansion looking for people to survey. Moe and Larry are recruited to join a bridge game, while Curly adds Alum to the lemonade. The resulting concoction is consumed by everyone, resulting in puckered lips and shrunken clothes. The boys next try to take the census at a football stadium. They disguise themselves as players and wind up in the middle of the game. Curly runs off with the ball and all the other players in pursuit. Written by Mitch Shapiro <mshapiro@a.crl.com>

Trivia

The "litter of three" joke was more or less an "in-joke" dealing with the fact that Larry Fine was the only one of The Three Stooges who was not a "Howard" (the other two being Moe Howard and Curly Howard, both of whose real last name was Horowitz). Curly says he was one of the ones "kept" (being a Howard), while Larry says he was the one "they threw away" (not being a Howard). See more »

Great one! This is funny!
19 January 2010 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This Three Stooges short film is another of my all time favorites with Curly, this is short is completely funny!

My favorite scene was the ending where Curly ran out of the stadium with the football and all of the other players where chasing him! And then Larry was pulling an ice cream bin with Moe sitting on it throwing ice cream at the players!

Until I recently saw this one again, I had no idea what it was about, the only thing I remembered about it was the ending with the Three Stooges being chased down the streets of town by the football players!

The Three Stooges really get into a lot of trouble and mishaps, but what do you expect? You expect the Three Stooges to get into a lot of trouble and mishaps, that is just plain typical Three Stooges!

This is very funny, you really gotta see it!
