The stooges are tramps looking for handouts. Although the boys are down and out, Curly seems to get everything he wishes for. After some trouble with a farmer, the boys come across an abandoned car, one of Curly's wishes. The car actually belongs to some con men who have just gypped the widow Jenkins out of her land. The boys winds up at the Mrs. Jenkins' house just in time for a free meal. To repay Mrs. Jenkins the boys try to fix her well and instead unleash an oil geyser. Learning that Mrs. Jenkins has been swindled, the boys go to retrieve the deed before it can be recorded. They find the bad guys and after a wild fight recover the deed. The boys return the deed to Mrs. Jenkins and marry her daughters; April, May and June. Written by

The "oil" that gushes out of the water pump and into Moe's face was made of chocolate, whipped cream, asbestos chips, linseed oil and ketchup; it took hours to clean him up for the next scene. See more »
The padding under Moe's coat is clearly visible in the scene where the saw hits him in the stomach. See more »

The Three Stooges has always been some of the many actors that I have loved. I love just about every one of the shorts that they have made. I love all six of the Stooges (Curly, Shemp, Moe, Larry, Joe, and Curly Joe)! All of the shorts are hilarious and also star many other great actors and actresses which a lot of them was in many of the shorts! In My opinion The Three Stooges is some of the greatest actors ever and is the all time funniest comedy team!
Oily To Bed, Oily to Rise is a great one with Curly! The part where the Stooges are in the barn is hilarious! I love the outside nature of the short film! Dick Curtis, Eddie Laughton, Richard Fiske, Eva McKenzie, and Victor Travers are in this one along with the beautiful Lorna Gray and Dorothy Moore! There is another Stooges short similar like this with Joe called Oil's Well That Ends Well which a decent short. Oily To Bed, Oily to Rise I strongly recommend!
