Trivia

There were 32 takes made of the shot where the gang hangs on the back of the dogcatcher's truck as it rides down the street, because Carl 'Alfalfa' Switzer, well-known for causing mischief on the Our Gang set (especially after the series moved over to MGM in 1938), would ruin every take. On take number 32, Darla Hood passed out from the exhaust fumes and was rushed to a hospital, so the take that made the final release print is an edited version of one of the takes that Carl 'Alfalfa' Switzer spoiled.
