Storyline

Porky sets sail for the Boola-Boola islands in the South Seas with a ship full of general merchandise and plans to open a 5 & 10 cent store. But a swordfish cuts a hole in the ship and Porky's goods fall into the ocean, where the fish make creative uses of them, ultimately opening a Hollywood nightclub, complete with fish impersonating various stars. Porky is saved when a waterspout comes along, re-stocking his ship. Written by Jon Reeves <jreeves@imdb.com>

Trivia

One of the lines from the song "Hooray for Hollywood" was changed for this cartoon. The original lyric went, "Go out and try your luck / You might be Donald Duck." For obvious reasons, the name was changed to Daffy Duck. See more »

Not one of Porky's best shorts. Some of the jokes are funny but some are not. There are some funny caricatures of famous movie stars though and the use of Porky's things by the fish is also funny. So it's an all right short from Warner Bros. Not the best but still good.
