That's because neither is really rich as the other believes he/she is, they both at the reception for work purposes, he a travel agency clerk, she working for a couturier. Because each believes the other is out of their league socially, they are reluctant to start anything. However, they do end up getting together, with each putting on false airs to impress the other. His friends and her family do whatever they can to advance the relationship, if only to provide each with a shot at a better lot in life.
