Mostly of curiosity interest!

The three legionnaires of the title are Lyle Talbot, Robert Armstrong and the super-lovely Anne Nagel whose charisma overcomes a rather silly role. Anne's lookalike, Fifi D'Orsay, is also delightfully present in a few scenes. Unfortunately, that's about all I can say on the plus side of the ledger. Thanks to a weak script which is not made any funnier by shouting and barnstorming from everyone in the cast except Anne and Fifi – Donald Meek, who has (for him) an extremely large role is by far the worst offender, but Talbot and Armstrong are not far behind – the movie out-stays its short running time of 65 minutes. In all, it's definitely a low point in director Hamilton MacFadden's rather checkered career which offered such early promise with The Black Camel and Charlie Chan Carries On. Available on a reasonably good – once you get past the well-worn credit titles – Alpha DVD. A small hunk of the movie is missing, but as it involves Donald Meek, I'm not going to lodge a complaint.
