Today is the 1 year anniversary of Hurricane Sandy.

The Weinstein Company Hurricane Sandy Benefit concert documentary 12-12-12, a behind the scenes look at the Emmy nominated TV special featuring performances by Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen opens on Friday November 15, 2013 in New York & Los Angeles.

On December 12, 2012, some of entertainment’s most iconic names came together at Madison Square Garden for a historic concert to benefit the victims of Hurricane Sandy. 12-12-12 captures the unprecedented gathering of talent who turned up on stage and behind the scenes to raise over $50 million in one night for the Robin Hood Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund to support organizations helping victims in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Russell was thrilled that Jack White permitted him to use two of his songs on the soundtrack of Silver Linings Playbook, but I was more excited to recognize Dave Brubeck’s “Unsquare Dance,” which is directly followed by Les Paul and Mary Ford’s rendition of “The Moon of Manakoora,” as Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence have their disastrous date at the neighborhood diner.
