  • Milt Haldain (Steve Clark)) and Bald Eagle (Dick Botiller),a Navajo Indian, are tooling across the prairie in an old Ford truck heavily laden with stuffed animals, and are attacked by Sage Sangree (Frank McCarroll) and his henchmen. They are rescued by Jim Lloyd (Rex Bell) and "Walla Walla" Wiggins (Al St. John), who are in the area on a secret mission. Helping unload the stuffed animals at Haldain's reservation trading post, Jim discovers that they are much heavier than their size would justify, and he later learns they are stuffed with gold from the deposits on the Indian Reservation and Haldain is helping the tribe to keep their gold out of the hands of greedy white men. Sangree is working for town banker Steven Cutting (Forrest Taylor) and Cutting is furious when Sangree reports they didn't get the gold, as Cutting needs it badly as he has some bad shortages at the bank. Jim learns that a letter sent him through the local bank has been tampered with and decides to keep quiet about it for the time being. Cutting had received the letter and makes a forgery which he shows to Haldain's daughter, Helen (Joan Barclay), that makes her believe that Jim is after the Indian gold. Jim is really Jim Carden and has been sent by his father Senator Carden to investigate the situation with the tribe and their gold.
