This is a rather curious film from the Walsh-Pearson partnership. It is entered around a ship,SS Neptune. It starts in 1914,when attacked by U boat. After the war John Garrick becomes the Captain. However he is sacked when he abandons the ship.He goes to Australia to start afresh leaving his wife and son behind. His wife dies and he comes back and takes his son to live on a farm. One of his shipmates buys the ship and it is arranged that he will once again Captain the ship with his son alongside him. There are a number of songs including an engaging production number.Rather too much sentiment.John Carrick is rather stools in the lead.
