Enjoyable but the plot is as clichéd as they come and if you don't feel you've seen this before you haven't seen many movies

Canadian Mounted policeman is stopped from taking a well deserved vacation in order to investigate a gang of thieves who are crossing the Canadian border after raids into US territory. Pretending to be a bad guy he hooks up with a man accused of killing the previous Mountie on the case and soon finds himself hip deep in bad guys and falling for a dame in the process.

Defacto western set north of the border is as clichéd as they come. I have no idea how many times I've seen a variation of this story (its so cliché I was looking for some sign I hadn't seen the film before). Well acted, the cast keeps things lively even though you know exactly how everything is going to shake out. This would have been a great film if it wasn't so familiar. Worth a look.
