Claire Trevor seems to be channeling Myrna Loy in this one of the eight B movies she headed for director Allan Dwan. In the other one I saw, she seemed to be doing Rosalind Russell, but here she's not playing an intellectual, but a jewel thief. At least she seems to be a jewel thief until it turns out she's actual the niece and partner of the man who who insures jewelers against losses.
