When the trio are out on the street in front of the firehouse, there is a policeman standing in the background directing cars to continue on without making a right turn into the scene being shot. There is also a Safeway grocery store on that background street, and later on a Max Factor Make-up Salon (opened in 1935) and Bekins Van Lines truck, the last two possibly product placements or merely coincidence. Next to the Safeway is an Emergency medical center. Across the street from the fire station is a chiropractor's office.

He only gets to three names before Moe smacks him. He says , " Marie , Yvonne , Annette " ...missing Emile and Cecile . This would have been a very recognizable reference at that time .
