"Muratti privat" is the another short commercial that German animation pioneer Oskar Fischinger made for the cigarette company Muratti. There is another one in color, but this one here is in black-and-white. We basically see white stick on black ground for the entire film dancing and moving around. The problem I have with this one is not that they promoted a cancer product here, but that it ever felt really interesting or funny and the Mozart music used in here is brought down a bit too by the contents I would say. The shots of a smoking man in a mix of live action and animation or the ending with the chess board reference feel rather out of place instead of a vital addition to these 2.5 minutes. I would not say Fischinger's other Muratti commercial was great or even good, but it was better than this one here for sure and be it only because of the use of colors. I don#t recommend the watch.
