Storyline

Based on the novel "Spionage in het veldleger" (lit.trans. Espionage in the Field Army) by Mr A. Roothaert. A First World War farce about the mobilization of the Dutch Army. Diary fragments tell of the arrival of Belgian refugees across the Dutch border in winter 1915. Reserve lieutenant Berkhage return from a summons to the Belgian border with a refugee child.
