A nitrate print of this film survives in the UCLA Film and Television Archives.
One of over 700 Paramount Productions, filmed between 1929 and 1949, which were sold to MCA/Universal in 1958 for television distribution, and have been owned and controlled by Universal ever since. This film's earliest documented telecast took place in Milwaukee Monday 6 April 1959 on WITI (Channel 6); but because of its age and obscurity it was seldom taken off the shelf, especially in the major markets. A handful of early airings included Seattle 15 June 1959 on KIRO (Channel 7), Pittsburgh 31 July 1959 on KDKA (Channel 2), San Francisco 3 July 1960 on KPIX (Channel 5), and Phoenix 8 December 1960 on KVAR (Channel 12).
The original play, which ran on Broadway for 252 performances, debuted at the Avon Theatre on October 9, 1933, and closed the following May.
