Jean Rouverol, Blacklisted Screenwriter, Dies at 100

Jean Rouverol, who played W.C. Fields' daughter in It's a Gift and then became a screenwriter who was blacklisted in Hollywood and driven with her husband to self-exile in Mexico, has died. She was 100.

Rouverol died Friday at the home of her caregiver in Wingdale, N.Y., Rick Lertzman, co-author of the 2015 book The Life and Times of Mickey Rooney, told The Hollywood Reporter.

In recent years, Rouverol had been living with actor Cliff Carpenter, who also had been blacklisted, in Pawling, N.Y. He died in 2014 at age 98.

Timeless Season 1 Episode 13 Review: Karma Chameleon

Well, that didn't work out as planned.

That statement certainly covers all storylines on Timeless Season 1 Episode 13, as well-made plans all went splat.

First, Flynn's little time-delayed bomb finally went off.

Flynn gave Wyatt the name of his wife Jessica's killer on Timeless Season 1 Episode 12.

So naturally, Wyatt's idea was to go back in history to prevent Jessica's murder from happening.

His solution was to prevent the killer, Wes Gilliam, from being born by keeping his parents from having the necessary one-night stand.

That's because Rufus correctly insisted that no one gets hurt during this mission, which would have to be a first.

Wyatt mounted a charm offensive on Claire, while Rufus served as his wingman, distracting Claire's friend and Gilliam's future dad, Joel, all the while geeking out on '80s TV (who doesn't miss the A-Team?) and video games.
