FORMER MERRY FAHRNEY PLAYS HANDMAIDEN IN CLEOPATRA MOVIE

Hollywood, Cal., March 12---[Special]---Merry Fahrney Pickering von Eiszner, 21 years old, Chicago heiress, today stepped into ancient Egyptian stepins as a handmaiden for the queen, playing a small part in the movie "Cleopatra," in production by Cecil De Mille here.

Mrs. Von Eiszner, who has taken a suite at a hotel here while awaiting the outcome of her annulment action, was one of fifty young beauties cast for the luxury scenes on the barge of Cleopatra. Claudette Colbert plays the part of the queen.

Gil Berry, the former University of Illinois football captain, is playing a Roman guard in the same movie.
