This is a cute movie with little substance, but a lot of heart. Although it barely makes sense at times, the characters are all delightful. The sequence where Chevalier & Edward Everett get drunk & form a competition of tie cutting (I know this is not really a spoiler because you have no idea what I mean)is just wonderfully silly. There are the prerequisite songs that are hummable though hardy memorable, the sets are great, (I would actually like to live in this factotums place). Maurice just wants his simple life & is relentlessly cheerful throughout, even when encountering the bully while trying to help the damsel in distress.I recommend this in a big way for light, romantic,amusing entertainment.
