(1933) Busby Berkeley choreographs this high-spirited backstage depression era musical starring Ruby Keeler, Joan Blondell, Ginger Rogers and Aline McMahon as hungry young unemployed dancers, Dick Powell as an aspiring songwriter, and Ned Sparks as a snappy producer who just needs the money to launch this bold new production. Mervyn LeRoy directs the snappy sequences between the songs.
