Hamburger-stand operator Corky Bradford (Ben Lyon) has aspirations of becoming a professional prizefighter. The girl who makes it happen is Honey Baldwin (Constance Cummings), a female fight-promote who has inherited her father's stable of stumble-bums, of which Bradford is one. Under her tutelage and training, he begins to make it big and they fall in love and are married. Trouble arrives in the form of socialite Kay Mitchell (Thelma Todd), who makes a seductive play for Bradford.
