At the age of 27, Archie Leach successfully made the transition from stage to screen in this two reeler short film about a young lady named Sue from Singapore who entertains sailors that dock on the ships. Cary Grant is one such sailor, but you only see him for a few moments when he is laughing with his colleagues. It is almost like being a successful actor on stage and then being offered extra work in a short film at the age of 27. Not very impressive, but the few moments that he was on screen electrified Hollywood and the female community, and he was snapped up by Mae West and Marlene Dietrich to appear in his next films.
