Musical numbers from an aborted project called "Radio Revels of 1930" were incorporated into this film.
Mary Brian was under contract to Paramount at the time, and was borrowed by Radio Pictures for this film. She replaced Mary Astor, who was originally slated for the lead role. Jack Mulhall and Noel Francis were also supposed to be in this film, but they were replaced.
A complete, full-color version of this film cannot be located, although it is believed that a black-and-white copy of most of it has been preserved. This was the first film to be shot in Technicolor's new reduced-grain high speed process, and the improved quality of the photography was highly praised at the time by Harrison's Reports. An all-color trailer was also made available.
