Outrageous comedy, one of Marion Davies' best comedies!
16 January 1999 | by See all my reviews

Racy, wild, fast paced pre-censor comedy with Marion Davies as the unwitting target of a small town's gossip mavens. So racy it was never allowed on TV and omitted from the MGM TV library in the 50's. Warner Bros. now owns the film, which has NEVER been aired on TV. I was blessed to be given a screening off an orignal nitrate at UCLA. There were three of us and we missed some of the snappy dialogue because we were laughing so hard. Truly one of the greatest comedies Marion appeared in, we can only hope that it will be discovered by its new owners (WB) and aired on TCM sometime soon. You'll love it! *****
