A poorly-staged, ineptly-produced police-versus-smugglers B.
10 June 2001 | by (Sydney, Australia) – See all my reviews

Not only an indifferent hero in Kenneth Harlan, but an abject group of support players induce even less interest in "Air Police". It's sad to find Josephine Dunn in this fourth-rate line-up. A specialist in portraying flint-hearted blondes, she comes across here as just another unattractive nonentity.

The picture's main problem is that its "B" budget was far too small to sustain any excitement. All the air footage is not only amateurishly shot, but edited in a ham-fisted, heavy-handed fashion that monotonously repeats the same sparse, ill-matched clips again and again.

The impossibly slow-moving, static direction is yet a further liability.

"Air Police" is a grave disappointment, with nothing to recommend it but its curiosity appeal.
