...it is safe to assert that Monty Banks not only proves as funny as heretofore, but passes the "talkie" test with flying colours. Dialogue is not heard at first, but when introduced is quite satisfactory. Still, it is by action rather than speech that he delights his admirers, for whether to hide the unwelcome lady, confronting her jealous spouse, becoming a "compulsory husband", or struggling with his enemy amid Alpine snows, he disarms criticism and wins laughs.
