Playboy Terry Culver meets Judy Gaylord, daughter of the commandant of the Calvary unit at a U.S.Army post. He falls in love with her, and joins the Army as an enlisted nom-com, thinking he will quickly be make an officer. He immediately raise the ire of all the non-coms and enlisted men, especially tough-Sergeant Westbrook. But he comes through with flying colors at the annual steeplechase, saves a young girl, Jane Sargent, from being over-run by horses, gets a a broken arm and a commission...and the Colonel's daughter.
