6 July 2015 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

On Sally's ( Lois Wilson )slender but capable shoulders fate has placed the burden of caring for her brother, Beau ( George Hackathorne ) a wasteful gambler , her sister, Millie ( Lucille Williams ) a ditzy flapper, and her aged aunt. The banker for whom Beau works informs Sally that the boy has been embezzling, and Sally is forced to go to work for Hugh Davidson ( Huntley Gordon ), a gambler who advances her enough money to repay the banker. Hugh's nightclub is raided by the police, and Sally puts herself in a compromising position in order to protect Millie's reputation. Millie, however, is overcome by remorse and confesses her indiscretion, thereby taking the first, tentative steps on the road to responsibility. Impressed by Sally's spirit and enterprise, Hugh asks her to be his wife.

This 1928 silent drama was produced by Film Booking Offices of America and starred actress Lois Wilson. It is now listed as unknown on the list of lost silent films.
