Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

A baby is shown nursing. Some brief nudity.

True to the story, Joan is burned at the stake. There is no explicit violence, although we do see a corpse immersed in flames in several shots toward the end.

Joan takes a fever and is bled.

Much of the movie is intense. Joan is accused of blashphemy and is rigorously questioned and threatened throughout the film. She is taken to a torture room where the judges attempt to coerce her into confessing her guilt. The execution scene could also be viewed as intense.
