Lost Colleen Moore Silent
4 April 2016 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

Card sharp Babe Stewart ( Edmund Lowe ) hides out in upstate New York when his irate partner and mistress, Kay ( Lilyan Tashman ), threatens to turn him over to the police. There he meets Mary Randall ( Colleen Moore ), daughter of local hardware store proprietor, marries her; returns to New York City; and obtains a position in a brokerage office. While he is eating his birthday dinner, detectives tipped off by Kay arrive and arrest him for card-sharping. Sentenced to a six-month prison term, Babe leads Mary to believe that he is going on a business trip to Buenos Aires, and he arranges with a friend to have letters mailed to her periodically from there. Babe tries to tell Mary the truth when he is released, but she will not listen and continues the deception for the sake of their expected child.

This 1928 silent drama starring Colleen Moore, is now a lost film with only a small amount of surviving footage from the original trailer.
