From viewers' statements, it seems that the English print shown in the US, UK and Spain, running at 78 minutes, lacks scenes in the first part of the movie with girls in Liverpool, a South Sea Island, Singapore, and Bombay. A laudatory reference to the role of Myrna Loy as a Malaysian girl, by Adonis Kyrou in his book "Amour-Erotisme & Cinéma", confirms that that scene existed in copies shown in France before 1957.
